The Coliseum The Coliseum is one of the most famous and well-known landmarks in all of Italy, as well as most of the world. Fallen from its former legacy, it was restored in 1808 by Pope Pious VII as a memory to the Christian martyrs, but now it plays host to a pack of dogs—not that anyone knows that, of course. They’re clever enough to stay out of sight when tourists go to visit the building, however, so that’s probably the reason why they’ve remained undiscovered. |

Baths of Caracalla The Baths of Caracalla are a series of ruins, and as one would have guessed, they are the remains of ancient Roman baths. Because the ruins are so vast, the pack that lives here is accustomed to moving from one area of their home to another, in order to avoid being found by the odd tourist that comes here. Though relatively undisturbed by humans, they are a minor threat for the dogs here, but the canines manage to leave peacefully nonetheless. |

The Pantheon The Pantheon is yet another well-known piece of architecture produced during the times of Ancient Rome. Over one-hundred feet in width and height, it keeps visitors amazed for hours on end, but the key to this pack’s survival is the back of the massive building: another street. Sneaking into the Pantheon at night for shelter and finding food in the street at the back of it, these dogs are incredibly crafty and are rather well-known for their survival skills. |

Now, however, it serves as a casual meeting place for dogs of any or no pack, whether they come here to relax, get out of the perpetual sun or admire the architecture that’s over two-thousand years old. |

Piazza Navona Ahh, Piazza Navona—one of Rome’s famous city squares, home to architectural pieces of people such as Bernini and Borromini—is one of the most active and lively places throughout the capital. Tourists flock here like birds, and there is always an abundance of food to scavenge from the bins, as well as people that like to offer food to the stray dogs that seem to congregate here. |

Villa Borghese Villa Borghese—otherwise known as Rome’s Museum Park—is considered the city’s most important ‘green space’. It contains five museums and is visited by hundreds every day, dogs included. The large lake in the middle of the park, as well as the various trees around that offer good shade, provide a nice place to relax for canines, and it’s especially gorgeous at moonlight, if you fancy a romantic walk. |

The River Tiber The River Tiber is the third-longest river in Italy, and has earned its name as the main watercourse of the city of Rome. The bridge that crosses the river is amazing to behold, and many dogs can be seen wandering along it at any time during the day, or at night. A popular place for spending time with loved ones, the Tiber and its bridge and renowned throughout the city and many frequently visit it during their lives. |
